On Friday, Pastor Hildebrandt’s Church of God in Aylmer was seized by the government and locked down, with hefty fines being issued. Following a Court order closing the Church of God earlier in the day and allegedly for reasons of ‘public safety’, armed agents of the government wearing bullet proof vests descended upon the peaceful congregation gathered at the Church, a significant portion of whom were women and children.Read more
My message to all of those who are unable to commemorate our Day of Remembrance in the traditional way of laying a wreath, publicly demonstrating your respect, and hearing The Last Post at your community Cenotaph. Lest We Forget.
Here are my closing statements from Wednesday’s gathering to those standing for freedom in defiance of the unlawful COVID laws in Ontario. We tested the law, and the Premier demonstrated he’s all bluster, no muster. His government knows that their COVID laws are unjust. Let that be a message to every free person in Ontario, that you must not fear the undemocratic decrees of this government and its COVID Command Table. When we have stood together in support of freedom and responsibility, we have won. We will win again.Read more
I tested the law and the Premier’s resolve yesterday, to see whether or not he would stand behind his unconstitutional COVID laws that restrict our freedom of assembly. He proved to me and everyone who attended my “unmonitored social gathering” that his COVID laws are unenforceable and nothing more than a scare tactic. His government knows that their COVID laws are unjust, and when challenged, they cowered. Let that be a message to every free person in Ontario, that you must not fear the undemocratic decrees of this government and it’s COVID Command Table.Read more
Ontario is on the brink of imposing new, unjustified lockdowns just as Quebec has embraced never seen before dystopian measures.Read more
I have created a petition calling on the government to provide the per-pupil funding it provides school boards, $12,500 per student, directly to parents so they may choose the best education arrangements for their individual needs.Read more
On March 13th, we declared a State of Emergency. I was in support of giving the Premier the authority to make swift decisions to handle the COVID-19 outbreak while the Legislature was in recess. Now, three months later, I can see this power has been abused to the detriment of the people of Ontario.
Throughout this outbreak we have seen groups come together in defence of democracy, with the hope of keeping our economy from ruin, and to protect those left behind by our shuttered healthcare system. Phone call after phone call, I began to learn the damages this lockdown has created for countless people in my riding. From business closures to bankruptcies, ignored medical procedures to unnecessary deaths; none a result of COVID-19 but rather the orders put by this government to fight it. Has the cure become more dangerous than the disease?Read more
Make your voices heard, on rural broadband expansion.
Based on my survey of residents earlier this year I am astonished that 93% of households in my riding do not meet the minimum standard for internet service and over half pay between $150-$300 per month for their services.
Along side a recently released petition to the House of Commons I am launching a petition to The Ontario Government to demand action on broadband expansion in rural Ontario.
