I am concerned that the cuts to education funding impact smaller towns and rural schools more than large city schools. My grandchildren attending Almonte and District High School spend at least an hour, each direction, on the school bus. Busing severely limits their participation in normal extra curricular activities. Busing is also, a huge financial burden on the School Board.
My grandson, in Toronto, pays for his public transit to a large, very well equipped,special, science high school and is not limited in extra curricular study, music or athletic activities.
