My message to all of those who are unable to commemorate our Day of Remembrance in the traditional way of laying a wreath, publicly demonstrating your respect, and hearing The Last Post at your community Cenotaph. Lest We Forget.

In October, the great town of Perth unveiled their Pathway of Heroes, to honour those who courageously fought overseas to defend the liberties and freedoms of those abroad.

The Premier has announced another COVID scheme, to extend the state of confusion and contradictions. A crisis propped up by counterfeit data and false cases.

My last Member’s Statement before Remembrance Day, I took a moment to honour those who left the security of home to fight tyranny abroad. What we have done to our freedoms over the last 8 months dishonours what they fought for. We must do better.

Bill 218 prevents the public from suing our government institutions for their liability during COVID, undermines ministerial responsibility, and subverts common law. Our government is attempting to conceal their actions, responsibility, and culpability for the harm they have caused in their response to COVID. It would be shameful for any Members of the Legislature to support this bill. There is something immoral when members abandon their own conscience, and support a Bill which is a direct path to injustice; better to be kicked from Caucus, than to abandon your conscience. We must reject Bill 218.
