Hillier introduces motion to resurrect Bill 16

Randy Hillier introduced a motion yesterday calling on the Government to resurrect Bill 16 for third reading.

The motion, filed with the Clerk of the Legislature on February 21, 2013, reads:

That, in the opinion of this House, the government must recognize the need to continue on with the business of the prior session of the House with regards to Bill 16, the Public Safety Related to Dogs Statute Law Amendment Act, 2011 of the first session of the fortieth Parliament of the Legislative Assembly of Ontario, resurrect Bill 16 in the form it was in on the 10th of May 2012, that is ordered for third reading, and call the Bill for third reading in the House.

"It's my hope that between Premier Kathleen Wynne and her Government House Leader John Milloy, the Government will have the sense enough to repeal this awful legislation," said Randy Hillier. "It's time for this law to be repealed!"
